The Secondary PGCE course is hosting a visit from children’s authors on Thursday February 21st

The School of Education will host a visit from Random House children’s author Bali Rai and writer and illustrator duo Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell.

The writers will be talking to students on the PGCE secondary English course and a class of Year 9 students from Crown Hills Community College, a partnership school.

The authors write for readers across primary and secondary age range and are all very highly regarded within their field. Alex Taylor, a Secondary PGCE alumni who is the Education Co-ordinator at Random House, will give a brief presentation about  the publishers' work.

There will also be a Roving Books bookstall with opportunities to buy signed copies.

The event is 1:30 -3:45pm on Thursday 21st February in the Learning Studio, on the first floor of the Museum Studies Building. This session will be of particular interest to those who would like to teach English or who are interested in learning more about writing for a specific age group.

If you would like more information or want to attend please email Dr Sue Dymoke on before Wednesday 20th February to book your place.
