HESA employment indicator for first degree graduates at 92.9%

More University of Leicester graduates are finding work or continuing their studies, according to the latest employment indicators.

Figures published by the Higher Education Statistics Agency recently show that 92.9% of University of Leicester first degree graduates are employed or in further study (based on 2011/12 feedback): out of 1,658 respondents, 1,541 were in work or higher education. These results represent a movement in a positive direction for the University, showing a noticeable improvement from the 2010/11 figures.

Graduate destinations are a priority for the University's Career Development Service and these results reflect the work they have been doing in engaging with students at the beginning of their courses, increasing opportunities to reflect on and develop skills, and enhancing support to ensure students are as well prepared as possible when entering the graduate labour market.
