Want to study in our Medical School? Come along and find out more.

The first of this year’s Open Days takes place this Saturday, specifically aimed at students who want to study medicine or medical biosciences. And there’s still time to book a place if you hurry.

There will be talks about courses, about funding and about opportunities for mature students, and a panel of current students. And there will be tours of the campus, the library, the medical school and our student accommodation.

Most talks are unticketed and repeated during the day but there are two – ‘Learning to be a Doctor at Leicester’ and ‘So You Want to be a Medical Student?’ – which will require you to pick up a ticket from the Percy Gee Building as soon as you get here. Each of these talks is on at five different times throughout the day. Tickets are rationed to one student and one guest and handed out on a first come, first served basis.

On top of all this there will be demonstrations including electrocardiograms, allergy testing and the secrets of medical handwashing. You can read full details of what's on in the Open Day Programme (PDF).

Please note that this is a Medical Open Day and there will be no information about other courses. But fear not, we have five general Open Days over the next few months and you can book a place on any of them right now.
