Free University of Leicester lecture by researcher Professor Paul Symonds presents thirty years of research into cancer treatment

For his professorial inaugural lecture, Professor Symonds of our Department of Cancer Studies and Molecular Medicine will explain how the last thirty years have been a success story for cancer treatment.

Professor Symonds will offer a great insight into the progress made in technology and patient care, highlighting the importance of doctor-patient trust. Also discussed will be the greatest challenges for cancer care in Leicester in the future, such as reducing levels of anxiety about cancer among British South Asian patients and improving personalised treatment.

Professor Symonds' lecture will take place on 31 January from 5.30pm in Lecture Theatre 1 in the Ken Edwards Building, University of Leicester, and is free and open to the public.
