National Space Centre Chief Executive praises the work of our Space Research Centre in interview with BBC DJ Chris Evans

Chas Bishop, Chief Executive of the National Space Centre, has sung the praises of our Space Research Centre in an interview with Radio 2 broadcaster Chris Evans.

Chas Bishop appeared as part of the mystery guest feature on the Breakfast Show and had a three minute interview with Chris Evans. When asked why Leicester was the chosen spot for the National Space Centre - one the UK's leading science visitor centres - he answered that it was:

“all down to the brilliance of the Space Research Centre at the University of Leicester.”

The Space Research Centre, which has links with NASA, European Space Agency and the Russian Federal Space Agency, is part of our Department of Physics and Astronomy and provides important information on current research.
