Come and help yourself to some free fruit on 11 September.

Summer has gone. The nights are drawing in, the weather’s getting colder and the blackberry plants at our Attenborough Arboretum are laden with fruit.

This Sunday 11 September, the University of Leicester’s Attenborough Arboretum throws open its gates for a blackberry day so come on down and help yourself.

There will be refreshments available and recipe sheets to take away in case you’re not quite sure how to make that tasty crumble, plus quizzes and trails to keep the kids occupied.

The Attenborough Arboretum is on Carisbrooke Road just a few streets away from the Botanic Garden (see map). The Arboretum will be open from 11.00am to 3.00pm. Entrance is free and so are the blackberries.
