Find out the facts about fees and finance.

Higher Education funding is going through a lot of changes right now and there’s a great deal of misinformation flying around. So Martyn Lewis from the Independent Taskforce on Student Finance Information has called for a National Student Finance Day on Monday 14 November 2011 – and we are happy to oblige.

We will be staging two information events, both in the 1923 restaurant in our Students’ Union (the Percy Gee Building). The first is for teachers and runs from 5.00pm to 6.30pm. We plan to provide you with plenty of practical advice and some information packs for you to take away and share with your colleagues and students, to help spread clear and helpful advice regarding student finance.

The second event is for prospective students and their parents, and that runs from 6.30pm to 8.00pm. There will be a talk on the new funding system and tips on budgeting, as well as the opportunity to chat to members of the Study at Leicester Team about the changes.

Both events are free and refreshments will be provided but we do ask you to please book a place in advance.
