University of Leicester criminologist Neil Chakraborti has led a project investigating the impact of recent legislation tackling targeted violence and harassment.

The results of the study suggest that public authorities have responded to this legislation in a number of ways, some more successful than others. More exchange of good practice is needed, the project team argues, and the outcomes have been translated into a series of recommendations by the Equality and Human Rights Commission, who commissioned the research.
