Our Civil Safety and Security Unit, which is part of the Institute for Lifelong Learning, is offering five scholarships to students from specific Commonwealth countries applying for the MSc in Risk, Crisis and Disaster Management.

This is a two-year course, via distance learning, which gives students the knowledge, skills and confidence to analyse the world of risk dispassionately and constructively.

The scholarships, which are aimed at students who are on a career path in a relevant field, cover full tuition fees plus the costs of visiting Leicester for study events. The deadline for applications is 21 April 2011 and the course starts in September 2011.

These scholarships are provided by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the United Kingdom and are directly linked to the United Nation’s Millennium Development Goals.
