Professor of Renaissance Studies Gordon Campbell has had a busy few months, and he’s set to get even busier with a year’s worth of lecture appearances coming up.

Last year, he published Bible: the story of the King James Version 1611-2011, a lively ‘biography’ of this influential translation from its publication to the present day, as well as editing the 400th anniversary edition of the original 1611 Bible for Oxford University Press. Following that, he was in hot demand for media interviews and lecture appearances, most notably at Literary Leicester last year and on BBC Radio 4’s The Story of the King James Bible.

Although Professor Campbell normally has a nice comfy office in our School of English, the expert on the King James Bible is venturing out as far as Belgium, Canada and the United States to give talks. He will also be speaking at cathedrals, universities, public libraries and lecture halls up and down the UK.

If you want to find a lecture near you, full details of Professor Campbell’s tour are on the School of English website.
