Leicester graduates in the news: Peh Suat Cheng

The Malaysia Star reports that Leicester graduate Professor Dr Peh Suat Cheng has been appointed Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences at UCSI University.

Professor Peh, who is a pathologist with a special interest in cancer research, has an MD from the University of Leicester's Medical School as well as qualifications from University of Groningen and Universiti Malaya. She brings more than 30 years’ experience – in both academia and practising medicine - to her new role.

UCSI stands for University College Sedaya International, which is what the institution was called before receiving full university status in 2008. There are campuses in Kuala Lumpur, Terengganu and Sarawak.

Professor Peh is a Fellow of both the Royal College of Pathologists and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australia.
