Yes, you read that right. I Am in Love are a Leicester-based pop/rock band with four University of Leicester graduates in their five-person line up.

All this week you can hear their latest single ‘I Want You’ on BBC Radio One’s daytime playlist, played by DJs Fearne Cotton, Scott Mills, Edith Bowman, Greg James, and the like. They’ve got there thanks to the BBC Introducing scheme and success may be in the air as their debut album is set to be released by Velocity Sounds Records in May.

Formerly known as Autohype, I Am in Love consists of Leicester graduates Sebastian Twigden, Edmund Grunill, Martin Brien and Nicola Robertson, with James Mason to complete the line-up. They will be playing Leicester's Summer Sundae festival in August as well as the Kendal Calling festival in July and Strawberry Fields Festival in August, and are soon to embark on an eight-day tour of Germany to promote their debut album Of Regard and Affection.

If you want to find out more, the BBC currently has I Am in Love as their Tip of the Week while the Leicester Mercury interviewed Sebastian last week.
