Leicester graduates in the news: Gloria Havenhand
Last Saturday, the Daily Mail ran a long interview with enthusiastic bee-keeper Gloria Havenhand, who studied botany, zoology and genetics at the University of Leicester.
Gloria, wife of steel magnate Donald Havenhand, has a well-established apiculture business at Troway Hall near Chatsworth, selling honey-based health products through her company Medibee Ltd.
The Mail interview ties into the publication of Gloria’s new book, Honey: Nature’s Golden Healer, published this month by Kyle Cathie (cover price £12.99), which has an introduction by Dr Milton Wainwright, senior lecturer in molecular biology at Sheffield University.
