We are sorry to announce that this event has been cancelled.

A public lecture tomorrow (8 October) will describe how researchers can not only view microscopic items but listen to them too.

By using lasers and glass beads, scientists can detect minuscule amounts of movement in the fluid surrounding a item such as a cell

Professor Jon Cooper, Professor of Bioelectronics and Bioengineering at the University of Glasgow, will present tomorrow’s lecture entitled ‘Sound and Vision: Manipulation of Biology using Acoustics and Light’.

The event, which is free and open to the public, has been organised by our College of Science and Engineering. It takes place at 4.15pm on Friday 8 October 2010 in the University’s Physics Building, Lecture Theatre A.
