Pussycat Dolls or Prokofiev? Lady Gaga or Lady Day? Dr Clive Marsh from our Institute of Lifelong Learning is researching what people listen to, how they listen and how choice of music relates to other interests and aspects of lifestyle.

Dr Marsh and his colleague Dr Vaughan S Roberts are currently inviting people to complete a survey about music. Don’t worry: you don’t have to provide a play-list  They’re interested in musical styles, technology used to listen (people of a certain age will be pleased to hear that there is an option for vinyl), usage of websites, correlation with literary and cinematic tastes – that sort of thing.

If you would like to help Drs Marsh and Roberts, you can complete the survey using this Word document and submit it either electronically or by post. The survey form will be online until 31 March 2010. Please send all returns by 16 April 2010.
