Young artists from schools across Leicester are seeing their work exhibited in a new exhibition on campus.

Pupils from 25 schools across the city, aged between four and 19, have had artwork submitted to the Roots Arts Exhibition which will be officially opened this evening by Professor Douglas Tallack, Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Head of the College of Arts, Humanities and Law, at a drinks reception and awards ceremony.

The exhibition, which is open to the public, is in the Belvoir Suite in the Charles Wilson Building and runs through to Tuesday 15 June. The building is open from 9.30am to 4.00pm except on Saturday 12 June when it is open 10.00am to 3.00pm.

Among the artists exhibiting is six-year-old Thomas Simpson from Samworth Enterprise Academy whose mother works in our Department of Geology and whose father works in our Division of Marketing, Planning and Communications.
