Employability and leadership skills recognised.

A student on the Management Studies course at our Institute of Lifelong Learning has become the first part-time student to receive the Students’ Union’s Outstanding Achievement Award, which recognises employability and leadership skills.

Itai Michael Choto is studying for a Certificate of Higher Education while working full-time in the banking sector. He has already received a merit of distinction and is the elected course rep for his course.

The University of Leicester offers part-time courses at a range of levels in more than 30 subjects. Part-time students receive all the same support and advantages from the University (and the Students’ Union) as their full-time colleagues, including academic support, health and wellbeing support, library facilities, sports facilities and so on.
