Library inductions for new students

Introducing your students to the Library.

For September 2016, we are offering:

  • A short face-to-face Library induction (30 minutes maximum) organised in collaboration with your department.  This induction will focus on the concept and purpose of a higher education library (What’s different about a university library?  How can you benefit from it?), signposting students to the help and support available at point of need.
  • Online support materials: In the face-to-face inductions, students will be signposted to our online tutorials which will be revised and expanded over the summer, allowing students to access support at point of need.

This standard offering can be tailored to meet departmental needs and requirements. Please contact your Learning & Teaching Services Librarian to discuss your specific requirements and book your inductions.
