Request items for your research using our book request and document supply services


Document Supply

The Document Supply Service allows registered users to request items which are not available in the University Library.  Books, journal articles, reports, conferences, theses, standards and patents can all be obtained from around the globe.

Distance learning and part-time research students

Using the document supply service

Quick guide to placing a document supply request

Step one: Please search the Library's collections using the Library Search on the Library homepage before placing a request.  We can only supply items not already in stock.

Step two: Open the request form and log in with your IT username and password.

Step three: Complete the form as directed, giving as much information as possible.

Step four: Click on the Submit Request button. Your request will normally be processed within 24 working hours (Monday - Friday), or first thing on a Monday for requests made over the weekend.
