Information about the University Library's institutional Omeka.net services for building online exhibitions

Omeka.net

The Library manages and provides access to the online exhibition platform, Omeka.net. This is an effective and easy to use platform for creating websites to display digital collections and build online exhibitions. It is recommended for use by research projects and in student assignments when there is a need to:

  • Share collections of images, documents, audio recordings and video
  • Build exhibits
  • Crowd source contributions
  • Map photos and other content
  • Create simple webpages
  • Collaborate with others
  • Use metadata to describe content, and share that metadata with others

Sites are hosted by Omeka, created and managed by the Library, and designed and written by students and staff. All sites are subject to the Omeka.net Terms of Service. Watch the below video below for a short introduction
