I provide library and information services and support to students (undergraduate and postgraduate taught) and teachers across the College of Arts, Humanities and Law.  This includes delivering library inductions and information skills teaching; providing individual support in-person, and by telephone, email and skype; liaising with Schools and attending student staff committees; selecting and ordering new books and ebooks; training and supporting users of the electronic reading list system; maintaining library subject pages and developing online library resources.  I received the University of Leicester Students' Union Superstar award in 2014.

Special skills and expertise

I am an experienced law librarian with expert knowledge of legal research databases (Lexis Library and Westlaw), and the OSCOLA referencing style.  I am also responsible for official publications (parliamentary and governmental publications).

I support the University's Author/Date (Harvard) and Footnotes (MHRA) referencing styles, and the OSCOLA referencing style; and the RefWorks and EndNote bibliographic (reference management) systems.

Professional information

I am qualified and chartered librarian, with an MSc in Information and Library Management (specialising in official and legal information), and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (MCLIP).  I am also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), and hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice in Higher Education.  I am a member and Honorary Treasurer of the British and Irish Association of Law Librarians (BIALL), and member of the East Midlands Legal Information Professionals (EMLIP).

I am particularly interested in legal research and information literacy.
