Trial to Digital Scholar Lab

Use Digital Humanities techniques to analyse and visualise Gale’s Primary Sources using Digital Scholar Lab

Digital Scholar Lab is a research tool that makes digital humanities accessible to all.  Create a corpus or content set from Gale’s Primary Sources collections (primarily newspaper archives), analyse the text using built in digital humanities tools such as named entity recognition, topic modelling, and parts of speech, and visualise and share your research results.

  • The Library is running a trial to Digital Scholar Lab until 25 April 2019. Because we have other Gale products, the trial should work on and off campus.
  • You need to login with either Google or Microsoft, or you can create your own account.  This is because your corpus or content sets sit in your own workspace.
