Create Your Own Comic Book Workshop on December 11th!

Academics and artists will be teaching students and staff how to create their own comic books on Monday 11 December at 10am.

As part of the Read at Leicester project, students and staff are invited to learn how to create their own comic book, inspired by this year's novel, Naomi Alderman's The Power. Running the workshop will be Esther de Dauw, who recently completed her thesis on the representation of women in graphic novels, and Selina Lock, an experiened Zine artist who works at the University Library.

We'll be learning about issues of representation and gender in graphic novels before going on to the actual workshop, where we'll be getting the best tips on how to write your own comic book!

The workshop takes place in Ken Edwards 324 at 10am on Monday 11 December. You can read more about it on our Facebook, and if you have any questions or would like to RSVP just send us an email!
