USS dispute - UCU meets employers following Congress vote to resume action

Following a debate at UCU's higher education sector conference in which the majority of delegates felt that insufficient progress had been made in the talks, delegates voted to call on members to return to working to contract as of Monday 18 June. The employers have been formally informed of the union’s position. In response to the resumption of our industrial action, they have indicated that they are not prepared to continue with further talks to consider possible changes to the scheme. Please read the full details of what Higher Education Sector Conference are calling on members to do and more on the employers' response, on the UCU national website.
