Facilities and location

Charnwood Campus uses a 70-acre site and existing buildings which were vacated by AstraZeneca in 2011 and have been kept in good condition since then, ready for rapid recommissioning as the LSOZ.

Significant investment has been made to regenerate and re-purpose the site for multiple tenants to meet the growing demand for life science facilities within the UK. Retaining the high quality laboratories whilst removing the older buildings has created an idyllic campus environment for companies to locate as well as opportunities for businesses to expand and grow on site.

Charnwood Campus is in the rare position of being able to provide a ladder of high-quality accommodation on one site. With existing buildings alongside development land, the site could service enquiries throughout every stage of a business’ growth. The missing element - until now - has been an Innovation Centre offering SMEs the space and support they need to start up and grow.

Conveniently located on the mainline to London, with improved road access courtesy of announced improvements to Junction 23 of the M1, and within easy reach of East Midlands Airport, Charnwood Campus provides an ideal location for regional, national and international collaboration.
