Bus driver's daughter and Leicester-based poet, Lydia Towsey takes to the road with Arriva Buses for these specially commissioned, Literary Leicester journeys around the city. From rewritten nursery rhymes...'The wheels on the bus' zombies, momzies, motherhood, pushchairs (buses) and governments – take a trip on this magical mystery tour (with a timetable) you won’t want to get off.

Lydia will appear on the following buses:

  • Number 27, 12.27pm from St Margaret's Bus Station - returning to St Margaret's Bus Station at 1.22pm
  • Number 31, 1.50pm from St Margaret's Bus Station, arriving at Oadby Parade for 2.19pm.
  • Number 31, 2.22pm from the Parade returning to St Margaret's Bus Station for 3pm.
  • Number 44A, 3.30pm from St Margaret's Bus Station to Northcote Road.
  • Number 80, 3.45pm from Northcote Road arriving at Abbey Street at 4.30-4.45pm.
  • Number 44, 6.25pm from Abbey Street, arriving South Wigston College at 6.57pm
  • Number 48, 7.09pm from South Wigston College arriving back at Haymarket for 7.43pm.
