Asthma UK innovation grant

Title: Contribution of P2X1, P2X4 and P2X7 receptors to human lung mast cell functions in the development of asthma

Amount: £49,430

Principal investigator: Dr Catherine Vial, University of Leicester, Department of Cell Physiology and Pharmacology.

Co-applicant: Prof Peter Bradding, NIHR Leicester Respiratory Biomedical Research Unit, Glenfield Hospital, Leicester.

MAARA (Midlands Asthma & Allergy Research Association) Project Grant

Title: Circulating MicroRNAs in the development of asthma

Amount: £9 300

Lead Applicant: Dr Catherine Vial, University of Leicester, Department of Cell Physiology and Pharmacology.

Co-applicant: Dr Nicolas Sylvius, University of Leicester, Core Biotechnology Services, Department of Genetics.
