Dr Chandra Ohri is a Consultant Respiratory Physician and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians with an interest in cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis and lung infections. He completed his undergraduate training at the Universities of St Andrews and Manchester before working as a junior doctor in the North West and Leicester. After completing his registrar training in Leicester he undertook a Clinical Fellowship at the West Midlands Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital. He then rejoined the Department of Respiratory Medicine at Glenfield Hospital as a Consultant in 2011.

He completed an MD in 2010 affiliated with the Department of Infection, Immunity and Inflammation which has led to several abstract presentations and publications.
He has a passion for medical education having founded the Leicester Respiratory Medicine Mentor Scheme and the Trainee Medical Workforce Group for the Glenfield Department of Respiratory Medicine. He is Education Lead for Undergraduate Cardio-respiratory training affiliated with the University of Leicester’s Medical School as well as Principal Block Lead for Medicine at the University of Leicester Hospitals NHS Trust. He is an Associate Professor of Medical Education and received an Outstanding Clinical Education Development Award from Leicester Medical School in 2017.

In his free time, he enjoys playing his electric guitar and watching rugby.
