Copernicus Hackathon

Let’s Invent the Future Together!

Calling all coders, researchers, scientists, designers, storytellers, and anyone enthusiastic about finding solutions to the challenges faced by us all: the Copernicus Hackathon is coming to Leicester for the first time! The Food Security and Resilience Hackathon is taking place at the Leicester Innovation Hub on 19 and 20 September 2019.

How does it work?

A Hackathon is an intense event where participants from different backgrounds with different expertise collaborate in small teams over two days on the development of prototypes of new software based on Copernicus Earth Observation data.

Ultimately, the Copernicus Hackathon will end up with one or more projects (be they business ideas or collaborative projects) developed over the two days. These will then be further supported by the main organising partners.

When is it?

Thursday 19 September and Friday 20 September 2019.

Where is it?

The University of Leicester, UK.
