Guest tickets

Regrettably, we now have taken the difficult decision to postpone our graduation ceremonies which were due to be held on 14 to 17 July 2020.

Your graduation ceremony is a very special event and it is natural that you will want to share the day with your loved ones.

In order to allocate tickets to everyone, we need to know how many tickets you would like.

  • You are guaranteed at least two guest tickets
  • You can apply for up to four guest tickets
  • You must apply for your guest tickets via MyStudentRecord after you have received your email invitation to the ceremony
  • You do not need to apply for a ticket for yourself
  • Children under two do not need a ticket

Once registration is closed, we will contact you, via your University email account by TBC to let you know how many guest tickets you have been allocated.

If you are bringing children, please refer to our additional information about this.

When you are notified of your guest seating allocations, you will be emailed the corresponding electronic tickets for your guests. These tickets will need to be printed and presented on entry to the ceremony at De Montfort Hall.

Additional guests

If you have guests who would like to share your special day with you but who do not have tickets for the ceremony, they are very welcome to visit campus on the day and celebrate your graduation with you before and after the ceremony.

A limited number of tickets for the ceremony may become available on the day if people are unable to attend. These ‘returns’ will be available at the Student Services Centre in the Charles Wilson Building. These will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.  These additional tickets will be limited to a maximum of 2 tickets per graduand.  Anyone requesting guest tickets will need to provide the graduand’s full name and student number.   Please note guests of the graduand are advised to queue for these additional tickets themselves.

The spare ticket desk will be open TBC before each ceremony.  Demand is likely to be high so please arrive at the spare ticket desk as early as possible.

A video of the complete ceremony will be posted on this website and on our YouTube Channel shortly afterwards.

Please remember to print your guest tickets so that they can be presented on entry to the ceremony at De Montfort Hall.
