Guest tickets

All students have now been emailed their guest ticket allocation.  There are some tickets remaining for each Ceremony.  If you would like additional tickets, please visit the Spare Ticket Desk in the Charles Wilson Building foyer on the day of your Ceremony.  Tickets will be released on a first come, first served basis from 9am for morning Ceremonies and from 1pm for afternoon Ceremonies and will remain open until all the tickets are gone, or the Ceremony starts.

Your graduation ceremony is a very special event and it is natural that you will want to share the day with your loved ones.

In order to allocate tickets to everyone, we need to know how many tickets you would like.

  • You are guaranteed at least two guest tickets
  • You can apply for up to four guest tickets
  • You must apply for your guest tickets via MyStudentRecord after you have received your email invitation to the ceremony
  • You do not need to apply for a ticket for yourself
  • Children under two do not need a ticket

Once registration is closed, we will contact you, via your University email account by Friday 10 January 2020 to let you know how many guest tickets you have been allocated.

If you are bringing children, please refer to our additional information about this.

When you are notified of your guest seating allocations, you will be emailed the corresponding electronic tickets for your guests. These tickets will need to be printed and presented on entry to the ceremony at De Montfort Hall.

Additional guests

If you have guests who would like to share your special day with you but who do not have tickets for the ceremony, they are very welcome to visit campus on the day and celebrate your graduation with you before and after the ceremony.

If any guest tickets are returned or unused, we will make these available on a first come, first served basis on the day of your ceremony from the Student Services Centre in the Charles Wilson Building. This cannot be guaranteed and demand is likely to be high.

A video of the complete ceremony will be posted on this website and on our YouTube Channel shortly afterwards.

Please remember to print your guest tickets so that they can be presented on entry to the ceremony at De Montfort Hall.
