Collaborative Teaching Programme

  • Leicester Lead:  Barrie Rathbone

Following a visit to Gondar in 2012, Barrie Rathbone realised that newly qualified staff in Gondar seemed very isolated.  This can also be said of some newly qualified staff in this country too.

This programme sought to unite individuals (initially doctors) from Leicester and Gondar, to develop teaching resources that both sides can use.

The official launch of the Collaborative Teaching Project website took place on 11 December 2013 at the Royal College of Physicians meeting at the University of Leicester Stamford Court conference centre. The Royal College President congratulated the team on their achievements.
