Festival of Postgraduate Research - Programme

The Festival of Postgraduate Research 2015 takes place Monday 6th July in the Charles Wilson Building on the main University campus.

The Festival is open to all members of the University community and members of the public from 11:00-14:00. Admission is free - but visitors and guests must book a place in advance

Festival opened to everyone. Presenters available until 13:00, but visitors can continue viewing posters until 14:00.

Keynote Address**:
‘The Power of Research’ by Dr Jago Cooper

 Academics are under ever increasing pressure to justify the reach and impact of their research. However, how does this influence and affect the role of researchers and the development of research-led learning at Universities? This talk will consider the ways in which new generations of postgraduate researchers are tackling these challenges and showing the way forward. Dr Jago Cooper currently holds a post at the British Museum as curator of the Americas. He has hosted a number of BBC programmes, and currently runs three projects all based in South and Central America.
