Digital Leadership Development

Building leadership capability to support change is crucial to our digital transformation. Working with the Organisational Development team, three initiatives are underway to build digital leadership capability.

Vital Leaders Programme

We are offering a one day course entitled 'Leadership in a Digital Age' as part of the Vital Leaders Programme for line managers at Grade 6, 7 and 8.

  • Consider how the digital strategy aims to change the way our organisation operates
  • Identify the leadership attributes that support digital transformation in Higher Education
  • Manage and influence digitally-driven change and organisational cultural change
  • Develop your own and your team's digital confidence

Future Leaders Programme

We are offering a half day session entitled 'Leading Digital Change' as part of the Future Leaders Programme for Grade 9, 10 and Heads of Division.

Dates: 14 March 2018

Learning Outcomes

  • What does it mean to lead a digital organisation
  • Reflect on the digital transformation which is creating new leadership challenges and strategic opportunities
  • Identify the leadership attributes that support digital transformation to manage and influence digitally-driven change and organisational cultural change

Digital Advocates

We are building a community of app. 30 digital advocates across the university who will motivate and mentor digital change initiatives, role model digital collaboration behaviours or who may be leading digital innovation within their own disciplines. These staff members will be drawn from the teaching, research and leadership areas of the university. They will champion digital transformation and support implementation.
