Meeting people from all around the world is always a pleasure, and in my role as Chaplain to International Students, I hope to make many new friends and share experiences of our different cultures and backgrounds.

After studying Psychology at Lancaster University, I worked for Social Services in Bristol until 1983, when I left to spend 5 months working at a hospital in north India.  On my return I settled in London and spent the next 4 years living and working in a Christian Hostel for International Students in Earls Court. I made many friends from all over the world, and have since enjoyed their hospitality in many countries, including Malaysia and Singapore, USA and Canada, and Africa.

After leaving the hostel to work in the Civil Service, I remained on the Management Committee until 1992 when I returned to Bristol to train as a priest in the Church of England.

During the 20 years since my ordination I have worked in town centre churches, in Higher Education Chaplaincy and for 7 years was Anglican Chaplain at East Midlands Airport.

I am married and have 2 teenage children, and if they leave me any spare time I like to spend it reading, going to the theatre and cinema, and going out for afternoon tea!
