Mitzvah Day (charity #1125682)

Plant: Norway Spruce

We have donated money for a tree to be planted in the Botanic Garden to commemorate Mitzvah Day which is a Jewish led initiative. The word 'mitzvah' means a good deed in Hebrew. Originally started in the United States but now taking place all over the world, Mitzvah Day is an annual day of volunteering and social action when we join together with people of all faiths and none to give our time (not money) to help local charities and vulnerable people in our society.
