Friends Talks, Visits & Holiday Programme

The programme of meetings comprises indoor lectures and outdoor visits to places of gardening interest. In addition, special events are organised from time to time.

All evening lectures start at 7.30pm in Ken Edwards lecture theatre 3, University Campus, University Road, Leicester (unless otherwise announced). Non-members are very welcome, we ask you to pay £2.00 (free if you join the Friends on the day). 
Parking is now available in the new University Sports Centre car park on the right at entrance 1, off University Road. Download a map here.

All morning talks are in Knoll House, Botanic Garden, Glebe Road, Oadby; 10.30am for an 11am start, refreshments available.
Parking is on Glebe Road. Non-members are very welcome, we ask you to pay £2.00 (free if you join the Friends on the day).

Garden visits depart from Glebe Road. Times and costs vary. Please check the individual booking forms, which can be downloaded by clicking on the appropriate venue in the table below if there is a live link. Cancellation terms and conditions, and further information, can be viewed here.

We regret that the University Catering Dept. will be not be providing a café in the Botanic Garden this summer.

However, we will be offering refreshments at some of our special events. For details see our events calendar on our website.

Please note that there will not be a University sculpture exhibition in the Botanic Garden in 2017.
