Saxifraga granulata

Botany for beginners. Learn to identify at least 350 local wild plants. Held at week-ends, seven modules are offered, which can be taken in any number and combination. Each focuses on a different habitat.

Plant ID picture Plant identification skills. This course is taught through a combination of lectures, laboratory classes and field trips, and is aimed at anyone keen to develop their plant identification skills.
Spring Wreath Floristry Workshops. Various floristry workshops are held throughout the year at the Botanic Garden.
Rhododendron Guided tours of the Botanic Garden can be arranged for organised groups or as gifts for a special occasion. The tours are led by a trained guide and last about 90 minutes.
Artist painting in the Botanic Garden Several independent art groups meet regularly at the Garden or Arboretum. Why not join one of them? We also collaborate with the Attenborough Arts Centre to provide a programme of summer art courses.
