Midlands Regional Cryo-Electron Microscope Facility Opening

Cutting-edge research technologies brought to the Midlands with opening of new facility

The event to launch the Midlands Regional Cryo-EM Facility - hosted at Leicester Institute of Structural and Chemical Biology was held on the 10th April.

The facility was officially opened by Dr Richard Henderson, from the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, who was one of three scientists to win the 2017 Nobel Prize in Chemistry “for developing cryo-electron microscopy for the high-resolution structure determination of biomolecules in solution.
