What is fringe culture? What separates fringe, independent or avant-garde culture from the mainstream? What possibilities and opportunities do fringe festivals give artists and performers? Join us as we explore concepts of the fringe and its impact on local, national and international culture. We’ll be discussing the fringe and hearing about some of the most exciting work emerging from fringe arts festival scenes from around the world.
