  • In a mash-up of cabaret theatre show and wedding reception, we ask if the whole idea of finding ‘The One’ has always been a bit misguided and is simply a bit old fashioned now. In a show for the age of Harvey Weinstein and #metoo, sit back and enjoy cake and bubby (yes, really) as we lift the lid on love and sex, beginnings and endings, and the passage of time.

  • The Talk Show’ is a comedy/theatre/spoken word show about talking by award winning writer and performer Rob Auton. Following on from his shows about hair, sleep, water, faces, the sky and the colour yellow, Rob now turns his attention to talking because he is ready to talk about talking. Since 2012 Rob has chosen a specific theme for his shows and challenged himself to create an hour of material about each subject. These shows have given rise to sell out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe as Rob continues to build his audience through his unique use of words and humour.

  • In the not too distant future, millionaire and inventor (think Elon Musk with a further attitude problem) called Hugh, ‘Hubris’ too his friends, is launching the first superhuman, artificial intelligence at a press conference. And we’re invited. This is a show about what happens when we give technology the power over us, with an anthropomorphic power point. Think the Greek Myth Icarus meets the Terminator.

  • £5 / £15 Family of Four
  • Last year, we were happy to hear that Chris Chopping was finally feeling happy and well adjusted. He even wrote a song about it. This year, he’s a mess again, which we’re ashamed to say should be more fun to watch! Chris gives us another pithy, witty hour of petty insecurities and impotent rage in a stand up about break ups, sangria and microwave dinners.

  • Zahra Barri

  • Sunday 24 February, 2.30pm – 3.30pm
  • Suitable for ages 16+
  • £5 / £15 Family of Four
  • Zahra has never stood in front of a mirror and taken a selfie; she’s more likely to stand in front of the mirror and ask herself to make a change. From Kim Kardashian’s career to Kim Jong Un’s Korea, the world is a constant mix of war and peace, and Zahra really wants to be a warrior not a princess. After all, Mohammed Ali arguably the greatest warrior in the world said, “My way of joking is to tell the truth, that’s the funniest joke in the world”. As heard on BBC Radio 4 Extra, BBC Radio 2 and Talk Radio, Zahra’s smart and cutting stand up is one to watch.
