  • Unlimited - Be There at the Start

  • Friday 23 March

  • 10am – 5pm, followed by Jackie Hagan’s performance
  • FREE
  • All art starts somewhere – a word, a thought, a concept. But how does it get to its finished form: installation, performance, exhibition or concert? 'Enter research and development’ (R&D), where trial and error is encouraged and audience feedback is critical.
  • Be There At The Start makes you part of this process. Showcasing the results and prototypes from research and development grants awarded by Unlimited – the world’s largest commissions programme for disabled artists – the day focuses on audience interaction and conversation to support work going forward. We intend to present work by artists including: Richard Butchins, Anna Berry, Raquel Meseguer, Juliet Robson and Rinkoo Barpaga.
  • In the afternoon, we will announce the Unlimited Emerging and Research and Development Awards 2018. There will be plenty of opportunity for facilitated networking. The day will culminate with the performance of Unlimited Commission ‘This is Not a Safe Space’ by Jackie Hagan (please book this event separately)
