Artist opportunity - Little Inventors

Little Inventors are inviting creatives, experts and makers to share their practice and inspire children to get creative through building their own makers challenge for children all over the world to take part in during lockdown (and its gentle easing).

little inventorsWe are approaching Creative and marker to use their practice and inspiration to help children develop their creative confidence. The pack will be made up of a short video and 5 activities that are fun and spark a range of wonderful ideas. The challenges can be as silly or serious as you like, inspired by your work, practice or interests. We are interested in making and also ways to get ideas flowing.

We will be releasing each pack separately which will be promoted to schools and families through our networks and social media channels.

This work is funded by the National Lottery and Arts Council England with the aim of supporting makers after a tough period in lockdown and of creating some great new creative content.

If you are interested please see the details on the document I have attached or contact emilie@littleinventors.org if you would like to have a chat about this. I have also attached an example pack.

We can offer a payment of £750 to create a pack and record a video, we estimate that this should be around 3 days work, including changes and editing time.

It would be great to get an indication if you think you will submit an idea? We need completed proposal forms sent back to emilie@littleinventors.org by Friday 3 July and then we will confirm which proposals will be commissioned by 8 July. This is not a big open call but we do need to make sure that we are getting a diverse range of creatives and challenge topics.

You can find the full brief and proposal form here.

An example of the types of challenge we are looking for is below.

The deadline is Friday 3rd July.
