Dr David Bartram and Dr Pierre Monforte from our department have published a book entitled 'Key Concepts in Migration'.

This book provides lucid and intuitive explanations of the most important migration concepts as used in classrooms, among policymakers, and in popular and academic discourse. Arguing that there is a clear need for a better public understanding of migration, it sets out to clarify the field by exploring relevant concepts in a direct and engaging way.
Dr Bartram said: "Immigration has become dramatically more salient in UK politics, as last week's election demonstrates; now more than ever we need a better public understanding of immigration. Thinking ambitiously, this book could deflate some nasty demagoguery; at a minimum, it will help readers develop more informed views, via brief, highly readable chapters that explain concepts and summarise key debates."
The book is available to order from the University bookshop.
