Lunchtime seminar for staff and postgraduate students from the Department of Sociology on 19 November 2014

Two PhD students from the Department of Sociology will lead the first departmental seminar for semester one of this academic year (2014/15).

The discussions due to take place are:

‘Polymedia, Insecurity and Everyday Life: An Ethnographic Case-study on the Mediation of the Everyday among Iraqi Refugee Households in Jordan’ - by PhD student Mirjam A. Twigt.

‘Patterns and trajectories of engagement for women, LGBTQ and religious groups within the English Defence League’ - by PhD student Leanne Telford.

This event will take place in Att LG03 at 1.30pm and is open to all staff and postgraduate students from the Department of Sociology.

Another seminar is due to take place this semester on 21 January 2015, which will be led by Professor Bob Carter and Dr Pierre Monforte (titles TBC).
