Partnership working has been essential to the foundation and establishment of the Unit for DICE.

The Unit for DICE is committed to working in partnership to give a voice to marginalised communities, to promote & support cross-community, cross-cultural and multi-faith exchange, and support our wider community.

We see policy-based engagement, commentary, consultation, development and training as key elements of the new unit’s work and fund-raising activities, allied to more theoretical contemplations, in line with the research excellence agenda of the University of Leicester.

We will continue to work closely with a range of partner organisations ranging from businesses, local authorities, public sector agencies, charities and other bodies.

Partners we have and are working with are listed below:

  • Sporting Equals for work on improving sports provision and access to leisure for BME people in the UK
  • Migration Network at the University of Leicester for work on migration, citizenship and refugee issues
  • Erasmus partners in Spain, France & Germany for project work on promoting fairness and ethics in local sport around Europe
  • Inter-agency partnerships for developing hubs for delivering better mental health outcomes for BME people in the UK
  • Local sports clubs for developing new sports initiatives for BME women
  • CivicLeicester is a community media channel that uses video and photography to document and highlight conversations taking place in and around Leicester.
  • Various NHS Trusts, CCG’s and other organisations
