Arun Kang

Arun Kang is a key figure on inclusion and fighting for social change. He has an MA in Promoting Equality and Managing Diversity with considerable experience and knowledge in engaging diverse communities. His experience ranges from being a youth worker to being the founder of the British Ethnic Diversity Sports Award. He also Chairs the Department of Health Responsibility Deal Task Force for Inclusion, and Co-Chairs the Public Health England National Physical Activity Implementation Framework for Inclusion. He is currently the Chief Executive of Sporting Equals, an organisation that aims to promote real difference in the inclusion of all under-represented communities in sport and physical activity. Sporting Equals is also the National Partner of Sport England. Arun, together with the Sporting Equals and its partnership with DICE, works on local sports policy and improving sports provision, particularly in tackling social barriers that are preventing people from BME backgrounds accessing leisure and sports.
