DICE 2019 Review

Posted by sa849 at Jan 31, 2020 02:34 PM |

2019 was an eventful year for the DICE team here at University of Leicester. We worked with our valued and established partners, in particular another successful run of our BAME sports leadership development programme LeaderBoard Academy with Sporting Equals. Excitingly, we also established new partnerships locally to work to empower communities. One such new partnership was with Bishop Guli Francis-Dehqani in collaboration for the Journeys to Justice Festival. Bishop Francis-Dehqani was formally recognised for her progressive work through an honorary award in our January Graduation Ceremonies.

A list of DICE partnerships and events in 2019:

  • Sporting Equals – LeaderBoard Academy 2019-20

  • Journeys to Justice Festival 2019 – This exhibition is still on display for those who may wish to view it in the Attenborough Building, University of Leicester Main Campus

  • Leicester and Leicestershire Law Society and Bushra Ali Society – Empowered Women Empowering Women network

  • Leicester City Council – Anti-Poverty agenda

  • REACH Society – Black Boys in Education
