Football – is the game old, or is it new? Is it about the deep-rooted professional outfits, or new fan-owned clubs such as FC United? And what of the birth-pangs of the women’s game? Do we need top-down reform or organic change from below, inspired by the democracy that is social media? Can photography help? Stuart Roy Clarke addresses these and other questions through his pictures and discussion.

Stuart Roy Clarke is the author of a series of picture books on football, as well as being artist-in-residence for both the Football Association and Sport England. He is widely considered to be 'the No.1 photographer of football culture.' Clarke's Homes of Football exhibition was shown at 89 museums between 1991 & 2005, and at the National Football Museum in 2012, drawing 200,000 visitors.
