PATHWAYS project: “Pathways to power: The political representation of citizens of immigrant origin in seven European democracies”

Research Activity

Angeliki Konstantinidou joined the Department of Politics and International Relations of the University of Leicester as a research associate for PATHWAYS project in October 2014. She holds a MA degree in “Political Analysis” from the Political Science department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her MA thesis is about the comparison of the attitudes of both the candidate MPs and the Voters of Greece and Portugal throughout the elections of 2009-2012 for Greece and 2009-2011 for Portugal in the field of Democracy and Representation. Her dissertation was conducted under the collaboration of ISCTE-IUL. She has completed her BA studies in Political Science at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Political Science of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Between September-December 2011, she was given a scholarship of the National Institute of Scholarships (IKY). Also, she has completed a series of courses in political science in ISCTE-IUL and the UMass Program that is held on ISCTE-IUL, between February-June 2013. She speaks fluent English, Greek and has a certification on French and Portuguese. Also, she knows how to operate the SPSS program and the R-project.

Research Interests

Statistical analysis of electoral data, Greek Politics and Political Parties. Her current research activity includes the PATHWAYS Project and Responsivegov.

College of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities Masters Excellence Scholarships

The Masters Excellence Studentships are available to new UK/EU applicants registering for a full- or part-time, campus-based Masters degree in our College of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities starting in the 2017-18 academic year. Four nine-month Masters Excellence studentships are available, each providing a full fee waiver. The deadline for applications is 9 June 2017.
